Circular Array will repeat a single design in a ring formation
VIDEO | Circular Array
Circular Array uses one pattern to make a completely different composite pattern. It begins with a single design then repeats and rotates each one for a completely different look. CS only needs to know which pattern to use and how many repeats are desired. Then you have the ability to move the patterns in relation to each other.
If you want the patterns to stitch continuously when connected, a point-to-point pattern is the best choice.
How to Use Circular Array |
Begin by moving the pattern onto the CAD. Click the pattern to select it. Right-click the pattern and choose Circular Array or click the Circular Array Icon or choose Circular Array from the Features dropdown menu. |
A setup window appears on the right side of the CAD screen. The setup box allows you to change the parameters and placement as desired. Changes are dynamic and will change on the screen. |
The Count shows how many times the pattern is repeated. Change the parameters as you wish. Degrees display the angle of the patterns and will change as the count is changed. |
If desired, deselect Connect and drag the centerpoint to see different pattern layouts. This will likely result in the patterns stitching separately and not continuously. |
